Life working in a Philippine Call Center - Telemarketing Company

Did you ever wonder what it is like to work in a Philippine call center? In the last post I told my story about how I have become a call center agent who works in a Philippine telemarketing company. I also wanted to let people who are interested know that telemarketing is not the only call center job. It happens to be what I am good at and so I encourage you to try it but it’s not for everyone. A lot of my friends and even some of my colleges at the same call center work as customer service agents for inbound campaigns.

An inbound campaign is basically when the customer is the one who initiates the call. So instead of the call center dialing the customer does the dialing and calls in to get some question answered or get technical support or place an order.

Many of the people at my old company answered product support questions for a scooter company, the kind you kick, not the ones that use gas. People would call in and ask questions about the warranty and where they could get service if something went wrong. Believe it or not they even sold accessories. So my friends that didn’t want to do sales were very happy to be helping people and making sure that they enjoyed the product that they had purchased. So there are many answers to the question of what is it like to work in call centers in the Philippines.
